Axial duct fans

Axial duct fans — inline mounting directly in the ventilation duct

Axial duct fans integrate directly into the circular ventilation duct run, becoming an invisible part of the installation. Unlike wall fans that are visible on the building facade, duct-mounted models are completely concealed in a false ceiling or plant space — with connections at both ends compatible with standard circular spiral or flexible ductwork.

This category fills a specific and valuable niche: installations where air must be transported over a moderate distance (3–15 metres of ductwork) with one or two bends, at static pressures of 50–200 Pa — more than a simple bathroom extractor can handle, less than a centrifugal fan requires. They are the reference solution for commercial bathroom and kitchen ventilation with long duct runs, localised extraction from plant rooms (electrical switchgear, server rooms, cold rooms), small workshop ventilation and any space where the ventilation duct runs several metres through ceiling or wall.

The available range covers diameters from 100 mm (airflows of 200–400 m³/h) to 1,000 mm (airflows of tens of thousands of m³/h), with single-phase motors for smaller models and three-phase for larger ones. The galvanised steel cylindrical casing connects directly to spiral ductwork without additional adaptors. Some models include an integrated back-draught shutter.

How to choose: the fan diameter must match the existing or planned duct diameter exactly — there is no functional "adaptation" to different diameters. Check the performance curve of the chosen model at the actual static pressure of the installation, not just the nominal airflow at zero pressure. A correctly selected axial duct fan delivers 80–90% of its nominal airflow under real installation conditions.
