Multifunctional sensors

Multifunctional HVAC sensors — CO2, temperature, humidity, toxic gases and pressure for demand-controlled ventilation

HVAC sensors are the brain of an energy-efficient ventilation system. Without sensors, the fan runs on a fixed schedule — on at 7:00am, off at 10:00pm, regardless of whether there are 50 people in the space or none. With sensors, the fan receives a signal from actual air quality and adapts: it accelerates when CO₂ exceeds 1,000 ppm, reduces speed when occupants leave, stops when air quality is perfect. The result: 30–60% energy saving versus fixed-schedule operation, with guaranteed air quality at all times.

Available sensor categories:

Temperature and humidity — room and duct sensors for microclimate monitoring and control. 0-10V or 4-20mA output compatible with any controller or drive. Used to control heat recovery units, air conditioning systems and residential ventilation.

Toxic gases CO/NO₂ — sensors for detecting carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide in underground car parks, tunnels and enclosed spaces with vehicle traffic. The alarm signal commands automatic ventilation system activation before concentration reaches health-hazardous levels. Mandatory in underground car parks per fire safety and health regulations.

CO₂ level — NDIR (non-dispersive infrared) sensors for precise measurement of carbon dioxide — the standard indicator of space occupancy. At 400 ppm: clean outdoor air. At 800 ppm: well-ventilated space. At 1,200 ppm: degraded quality, perceptible odours. At 2,000 ppm: impaired concentration and wellbeing. The sensor commands increased ventilation airflow exactly when needed, not on a fixed schedule. Available for wall mounting in rooms and duct immersion mounting in AHU ductwork.

Air quality (VOC) — sensors for volatile organic compounds (VOCs), general indicators of indoor air pollutants — tobacco smoke, body odours, cleaning product vapours, new furniture off-gassing. Complementary to CO₂ in spaces with multiple pollution sources.

Pressure — differential pressure sensors for filter clogging monitoring (differential pressure increases as the filter loads) and for VAV (Variable Air Volume) system control. The signal alerts the optimal filter replacement moment and maintains constant airflow regardless of variable installation resistance.

Compatibility: all sensors in the range provide standard 0-10V or 4-20mA signals, directly compatible with speed controllers, digital drives and frequency inverters in the same catalogue.
