Control switches and Potentiometers
Switches and potentiometers for EC motors — direct control of electronically commutated fans
EC (Electronically Commutated) motor fans are not controlled with standard AC analogue controllers — they have their own control protocol, generally via 0-10V signal or 3-wire connection. This subcategory brings together precisely these two types of dedicated EC motor control equipment. 3-wire switches: 3-position switch (low-medium-high or off-on-max) connected directly to the EC motor via its dedicated control cable. Simple solution for residential and small commercial applications. Specific to Vent-Axia heat recovery units and other EC fans with 3-wire command input. 0-10V EC motor switches: rotary potentiometer or switch generating a 0-10V signal directly from 24V supply — without external sensor. Allows manual EC fan speed adjustment without an AC speed controller or frequency drive.
