The Casals Kuvio 200 is a helico-centrifugal inline duct fan delivering 1,135 m³/h through a Ø200 mm circular duct. The helico-centrifugal (mixed flow) design is the key technical feature: it combines the impeller geometry of axial fans — which move large volumes of air efficiently — with a centrifugal component that generates meaningfully higher static pressure than a pure axial fan of the same diameter. This makes the Kuvio 200 the correct choice when an inline installation must overcome not just the resistance of a short exhaust termination but the cumulative resistance of a medium-length duct run with bends and fittings.

When to choose an inline fan over a wall-mounted extractor

A wall extractor mounts directly through the exterior wall — simple, but only possible when the room borders an exterior wall and aesthetics permit a visible extraction point. The Kuvio 200 installs inside the duct run, concealed within the ceiling void or a technical space, and can be positioned at any point along the duct. This makes it the preferred solution for: interior rooms with no exterior wall access; spaces where the exhaust must be ducted a significant distance before reaching the exterior; multi-room extraction on a single duct trunk; commercial installations where a single concealed fan serves multiple zones.

Airflow and static pressure capability

At 1,135 m³/h the Kuvio 200 handles ventilation for larger spaces or multiple rooms simultaneously — equivalent to approximately 8 air changes per hour in a 140 m² open-plan space at 3 m ceiling height, or extraction for several smaller rooms sharing a common duct trunk. The mixed flow design ensures this airflow is maintained as duct resistance increases, unlike pure axial fans whose output drops steeply with back-pressure.

Installation

Mounts directly on Ø200 mm circular ductwork, inserted in line within the duct run. The fan body installs within the ceiling void or a technical enclosure with access panel for maintenance. Horizontal or vertical duct connection. 230V single-phase supply.
