Axial wall fans — direct extraction for industrial halls, warehouses and workshops

Axial wall fans are the simplest and most direct mechanical ventilation solution: they mount in a wall opening or panel, draw stale air from inside and discharge it directly to the outside with no intermediate ductwork. Their compact construction — motor and axial rotor integrated in a cylindrical or square casing with a mounting flange — allows rapid installation in any wall type, from reinforced concrete to sandwich panels.

They are the reference equipment for industrial and production halls, logistics warehouses, mechanical workshops, livestock farms, greenhouses, garages and any large-volume space where hot air, moisture or pollutants must be evacuated directly to the outside. They operate efficiently where there is no ductwork — the nominal airflow declared by the manufacturer is close to the actual operating airflow, unlike long-duct installations where pressure losses significantly reduce performance.

The ventilation.ro range includes Casals and Nicotra Gebhardt axial wall fans in diameters from 200 mm to 1,250 mm, with airflows from 600 m³/h to over 60,000 m³/h, single-phase (230V) and three-phase (400V), with standard IP54 protection and IP55 for wet environments. Also available in ATEX variants for potentially explosive atmospheres and corrosion-resistant variants for aggressive chemical environments.

How to choose: calculate the required airflow (space volume × air changes per hour), verify that the fan's available static pressure covers the resistance of the external grille (20–50 Pa), and that the diameter matches the existing or planned wall opening. For spaces with permanent staff, prioritise models with noise levels below 55 dB(A).
