Shopping Centre Ventilation —  Products for Gallery, Restaurants, Car Parks and Smoke Extraction

Shopping centres are buildings with the most complex ventilation requirements in Romania: thousands of daily visitors, restaurants with professional kitchens, underground car parks with hundreds of vehicles, multiplex cinemas, plant rooms and commercial gallery — all with different technical requirements, all required to function simultaneously and in compliance with current regulations.

Smoke extraction is legally mandatory in shopping centres per normative P118-1:2025 and SR EN 12101-3. F300/120 certified equipment (for fans in the hazardous zone, including Jet Fans) and F400/120 (for final extraction fans outside the hazardous zone) are the only ones accepted in smoke extraction systems. ventilation.ro holds 425 certified smoke extraction products — fire-rated rooftop fans, centrifugal BOX fans for plant rooms and Jet Fans for integrated car parks.

Gallery ventilation requires 4–6 air changes per hour, ideally with DWDI or Plug Fan incorporated fans with EC motor and automatic CO₂ sensor control. At 80% of nominal speed, an EC motor consumes only 51% versus maximum speed — significant savings over a year of operation.

Restaurant hoods within the shopping centre require CF HP fans (external Simotop motor, sparse-blade ladle rotor) sized for 5,000–15,000 m³/h at air transport temperatures up to +150°C.

Integrated underground car parks require a Jet Fan system certified F300/120, sized through a mandatory CFD study (SR CEN/TR 12101-5), correlated with CO sensors for automatic activation at 50 ppm.
