T2P 600x450 mm Double Deflection Wall Grille — Air Control in Both Planes
What "double deflection" means and when to choose it
The T2P grille has two rows of adjustable blades, stacked and perpendicular to each other. The front row runs parallel to the first stated dimension — on this model, the 600 mm side; the rear row is perpendicular to it.
The practical consequence: you can aim the air jet in both planes at once — sideways (left/right) with one row, vertically (up/down) with the other. Each blade is adjusted individually, by hand.
Single deflection grilles (T1P) have one row of blades, so they direct air in one plane only.
Choosing between them:
- Single deflection — ordinary rooms with regular geometry, where the jet only needs aiming in one direction. Lower cost.
- Double deflection — rooms with difficult geometry, tall spaces, areas with obstacles, or where the grille position requires correction on both axes.
Why the adjustment matters in practice
Supply air does not reach the right place on its own. A badly aimed jet causes draughts felt directly by occupants — the most common complaint in air-conditioned spaces — or, conversely, leaves whole zones unventilated.
With double deflection, corrections are made after commissioning, once you can see how the air actually behaves: raise the jet towards the ceiling for mixing, lower it into the occupied zone where firmer cooling is needed, or deflect it sideways to clear a column or beam.
The setting differs by season:
- In cooling, cold air is denser and falls naturally. Aim the jet horizontally or slightly upwards so it mixes before descending.
- In heating, warm air rises and tends to stratify under the ceiling. Aim the blades downwards to push heat into the occupied zone.
A few minutes' adjustment visibly changes comfort — and it is a simple service you can offer clients after installation.
The 600x450 mm size
At 0.27 m² face area, this is a supply grille for large rooms: conference rooms, retail spaces, hotel lobbies, waiting areas, light production areas.
At this size, double deflection is usually justified: the larger the room, the more it matters where the air jet actually lands.
The front blades run parallel to the 600 mm side.
Construction
Anodised aluminium — the oxide layer protects the metal against corrosion, does not flake like paint and does not degrade over time.
Electrostatic RAL painting to order — the powder polymerises onto the metal surface, giving a uniform finish resistant to scratching and fading. Frequently requested on large grilles visible within the room.

FAQ
Single or double deflection — how do I choose? Single deflection aims air in one plane and covers most ordinary applications at lower cost. Double deflection allows aiming in both planes and is justified in large rooms, difficult geometry, obstacles or high ceilings. Send us the room layout and we'll tell you which you need.
Are the blades adjusted after installation? Yes, individually, by hand, directly through the face of the grille. We recommend adjusting after commissioning and re-checking at the change of season.
Can I also control airflow, not just direction? Not from the blades. For airflow you need a control damper behind the grille — or order the T2P-D version with an integrated damper.
Can it be mounted on round ducting? Yes, with the dedicated T2P-SR version, which has a galvanised frame profiled for the side of a round duct. The standard version is for wall mounting.
Is a stainless steel version available? Yes — T2P-IN304, in stainless steel 304, up to 1200x1200 mm. For aggressive environments, food industry or marine exposure.
