The HP 200 discharge reducer is the connection accessory designed specifically for fans in the CF HP series (professional kitchen hood fans). Its role is straightforward and essential: it makes the geometric transition from the square discharge outlet of the fan to the circular extract duct leading to the exterior.
Why this reducer is necessary
CF HP fans have a 280×240 mm square discharge connection — the standardised dimension for this hood fan. Professional kitchen extract duct networks use circular ductwork as standard, most commonly Ø200 mm for medium airflow rates. Without this reducer, direct connection of the fan to circular ductwork is not possible — improvised adaptors would generate additional pressure losses and potential air leakage.
The HP 200 reducer resolves this with an optimised square-to-circular transition geometry that minimises turbulence and reduces pressure losses compared to improvised solutions.
Construction
Manufactured from galvanised steel sheet — the standard material for kitchen ventilation accessories, resistant to grease vapour corrosion and to the elevated air temperatures of kitchen extract. Quick assembly onto the fan's square discharge and onto Ø200 mm circular ductwork via standard clips or sleeve connections.
