T2P 450x150 mm Double Deflection Wall Grille
Two rows of blades
The T2P grille has two rows of individually adjustable blades, mounted one behind the other and perpendicular to each other. The front row follows the 450 mm side, the rear row runs across it. This lets you aim the air jet in both planes — sideways and vertically.
Single deflection grilles have one row and aim air in a single plane, at lower cost.
When height is the constraint, not width
At only 150 mm high, it is chosen where vertical space is limited and moving the grille isn't an option:
- Above doors, where only a few centimetres remain between frame and ceiling
- In the parapet, below a window, where available height is dictated by the glazing
- Under beams or concrete bands
- In low ceilings, where a tall grille would look out of proportion
- Refurbishments, where the wall opening already exists
Visually, the 3:1 ratio makes the grille read as a discreet horizontal line rather than a technical rectangle — which is why architects prefer flat formats in finished spaces.
At 150 mm height, the vertically arranged blade row is short — so its ability to deflect the jet up or down is lower than on a tall grille. Lateral adjustment stays highly effective (450 mm blades have plenty of authority), but vertical correction is fine rather than dramatic.
What this means in practice:
- If your installation needs strong downward air direction (heating in tall spaces), choose a taller format — 300x300 or 400x200
- If lateral distribution is the main need, in a room with a normal ceiling, 450x150 is ideal

Seasonal adjustment
- In cooling, cold air is denser and falls by itself; aim the jet horizontally for mixing before it reaches the occupied zone. The flat format works very well in this mode.
- In heating, warm air rises and stratifies; aim the blades downwards, within the reduced vertical authority described above.
Construction
Anodised aluminium — the oxide layer protects the metal against corrosion, does not flake and withstands repeated cleaning. Maintain with a soft cloth, without solvents or abrasives.
Electrostatic RAL painting to order — particularly useful on flat formats in finished spaces, where the grille can be made to disappear into the wall colour.

FAQ
How many rows of blades does it have? Two — that is what "double deflection" means. A single row is single deflection (T1P series), which costs less.
Are the blades fixed at 45°? No, they are individually adjustable to any position. The fixed 45° angle belongs to exterior grilles and ceiling diffusers.
Why choose 450x150 over a taller format? When available height is the constraint: above a door, in a parapet, under a beam. If the wall allows more height and you need strong vertical direction, choose 300x300 or 400x200.
Does enough air pass through such a low grille? What counts is total free area, not shape. At 0.0675 m² it suits low airflows. Send us your design airflow and we'll confirm whether one grille is enough or two are needed.
