The COURSALIS E is a high-performance electric air curtain for the tertiary sector — designed for the entrance areas of shops, restaurants, hotels, banks, schools, offices and any commercial space where door openings must remain functional while maintaining interior climate separation.

What an air curtain does

An air curtain creates an invisible, high-velocity air barrier across a door or opening that physically separates the interior and exterior air masses. This prevents the transfer of heated or cooled air out of the building when the door is open, reduces energy consumption by up to 30–40% compared to a door left open without a curtain, and blocks insects, dust and outdoor odours from entering. The COURSALIS E adds electric heating to this function — during cold months, the heating coil pre-warms the air jet, ensuring that any exterior air that does mix with the interior jet is immediately heated before reaching occupants.

Design — arc form, metal housing

The COURSALIS E features an exclusive arc-shaped profile in white painted metal — a construction that sets it apart from the standard rectangular air curtain housing common in the commercial sector. The arc geometry distributes airflow more evenly across the full 1,000 mm width and contributes to lower noise generation at equivalent airflow rates. The metal housing ensures durability in high-traffic commercial environments where plastic housings are prone to impact damage.

Control — remote control + LED indicator + optional presence sensor

The included remote control allows adjustment of fan speed, heating on/off and timer settings from anywhere in the space. The LED indicator on the unit body provides a clear visual reference for the current operating mode. For fully automatic operation, the COURSALIS E can be optionally equipped with a presence sensor that activates the unit when people approach the entrance and stops it after a set delay — eliminating the need for manual control and ensuring the air barrier is active precisely when needed.

Installation

Horizontal wall mounting above the door opening. The 1,000 mm unit covers door widths up to 1,000 mm. For wider openings — up to 1,500 mm or 2,000 mm — choose the corresponding COURSALIS E 1500 or COURSALIS E 2000 models, or install two 1,000 mm units end-to-end.
