What SNAP is and how it differs from an air purifier

SNAP does not filter or ionise the air — it replaces it. When sensors detect that indoor air has reached sub-optimal quality levels (toxic gases, excess humidity, inappropriate temperature), the brushless motor starts automatically and exhausts the stale air, drawing in fresh air from outside. No clogging filters, no artificially generated ozone, no substances added to the air.

Three sensors — what SNAP monitors in real time

Air quality sensor — simultaneously detects 7 gases and vapours:

• Hydrogen (H2): 1–1,000 ppm
• Carbon monoxide (CO): 5–1,000 ppm — one of the most dangerous odourless gases
• Propane (C₃H₈): 3–1,000 ppm (10% LEL)
• Iso-butane (C₄H₁₀): 5–1,000 ppm (10% LEL)
• Ethanol (C₂H₆O): 1–1,000 ppm
• Methane (CH₄): 200–3,000 ppm
• Ammonia (NH₃): 5–1,000 ppm

Temperature sensor: -40°C to +125°C Humidity sensor: 0–100% R.H.

Five functionalities

AUTOMATIC — SNAP continuously analyses sensor data and starts ventilation automatically when air levels exceed optimal thresholds. No user intervention required.

MANUAL — direct activation when you feel you need fresh air, independent of sensor values.

DETOX — intensive mode that completely purges room air, eliminating all accumulated contaminants. Ideal after cooking, cleaning with chemical products or any emission-generating activity.

DRY — SNAP detects excess humidity (after showering, cooking, drying laundry) and starts ventilation automatically to prevent condensation and mould, without a separate tank dehumidifier.

LINK — connectivity with Elica kitchen hood. When the kitchen hood activates, SNAP synchronises and increases its airflow to support extraction. The whole apartment's ventilation becomes coordinated.

Control from anywhere — App and remote

SNAP APP (iOS 7+ / Android 4.03+): real-time air quality monitoring with charts, function and schedule settings, alerts when air quality drops below thresholds, automatic firmware updates. Glass touch remote included — control from any corner of the room.

Installation: Ø 120 mm hole through exterior wall + 230V connection. No drain pipes, no tanks, no specialist HVAC installer required.

No maintenance: brushless motor (no carbon brushes to replace), no filters to change, firmware auto-updates via Wi-Fi. Install and forget.
